Hamish Kingston charged with CA Code of Conduct breach
March 09, 2018
Cricket Australia (CA) advises that Tasmania’s Hamish Kingston has been charged for breaching the CA Code of Conduct on 7 March 2018 in his side’s Toyota Futures League match against South Australia at Kingston Twin Ovals.
Kingston was reported for breaching CA Code of Conduct Article 2.1.3 – showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during a match – a Level 1 offence.
The offence occurred during South Australia’s second innings, when Kingston was bowling.
As per the CA Code of Conduct procedure, Match Referee David Johnston considered the umpires’ report, and proposed a sanction of a reprimand should the player accept the umpire’s version of events.
Kingston admitted the offence and accepted the sanction, no hearing was required.
