The Big Appeal

Thank you #BigAppeal

A message from our CEO Kevin Roberts
"On behalf of Australian Cricket, I’d like to thank everyone who was involved The Big Appeal, our major fundraising initiative to support Australians impacted by the bushfire emergency."
"We are proud of the response from the cricket community and broader sport industry, coming together to support Australians in their time of need, and we are very grateful for the incredible contributions made by so many to this worthy cause."
"While the Bushfire Bash was centred around cricket – four matches at two venues across one weekend – our game was just the conduit for a much greater message. The festive atmosphere and community spirit at each event reflected the very best of the Australian cricket community and we hope the funds raised and memories made will have lasting effects."
"Players and employees across Cricket Australia, the States and Territories and the ACA will also have the opportunity to contribute more than 4,000 work days to supporting the rebuilding of communities this year."
"We couldn’t have achieved such an outcome without the commitment of supporters like you, people and organisations we knew we could depend on and value so much."
