The Cricket Australia Board currently consists of seven independent Directors who work collectively in the national interest of Australian cricket.
Managing Director of The Riskcom Group, Earl was North Melbourne Cricket Club President from 2001 until November 2008. He was a Director of Cricket Victoria from 2006-2015 and held the position of Deputy Chairman from 2008-2015. He is a Non-Executive Director of MPower Ltd and past Managing Director of ASX listed Greencap Ltd.
Paul has a long association with cricket, having been a Director and Deputy Chairman with the Tasmanian Cricket Association from 2004 to 2018. He is the Chief Operating Officer of Enterprise Division at KPMG Australia, and the Tasmanian Chairman of Partners.
John is the Chief Executive Officer of the Melbourne & Olympic Parks Trust. He has an extensive background in sports, tourism and major events, including with the South Australian Cricket Association and the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup as well as currently chairing the Local Organising Committee for the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup. Awarded the Order of Australia in 2007 for services to sport.
Currently Group Chief Executive Epworth Healthcare (appointed January 2017). A former WA First Grade cricketer for University, Dr Henderson was WACA Chairman from 2015 to 2017 and was pivotal in the Association's discussions and planning in a significant period of change and growth for WA cricket. He was appointed to the CA Board in September 2018.
Michelle is an experienced company director, currently on the boards of Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Bank of Queensland (BOQ), Urbis, The Ethics Centre and a member of the Senate of University of Queensland. She is a long-time cricket follower and fan.
Richard is currently a director of REA Group Limited, Coles Group Limited and was previously a non‐executive director of Foxtel and ESPN Star Sports. In addition, Richard is the Deputy Chancellor of The University of Sydney. Richard has been a life-long passionate supporter of Australian Cricket.
Mel’s playing days included two successful World Cup and Ashes campaigns with Australia, 20 years of state cricket and she is still connected where possible to her local club side Essendon Maribyrnong Park. A qualified Physical Education teacher, Mel worked in cricket development and sports management before moving fulltime into broadcast and commentary roles in TV and radio across Australian and International cricket in 2017.
Mike is the CEO of HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing health, palliative care, dementia and aged care services. Prior to commencing at HammondCare, Mike was a member of the National Australia Bank executive leadership team from 2017 to 2020. Former Premier of New South Wales, Mike describes himself as a complete cricket tragic and is currently a proud patron of Manly Cricket Club #bleedblue !
Vanessa is an experienced Non Executive Director with a career spanning thirty years in the resources sector. Currently Deputy Chair and Lead Independent Director of Adbri Ltd, and Director of Santos Ltd, Tronox Holdings PLC and Lynas Rare Earths Ltd; she is the Pro Chancellor of Curtin University. Vanessa’s long standing love of Australian cricket drives her desire to give back to the game. She was a Director of the WACA from 2016 – 2020 and Deputy Chair from 2018 – 2020
Greg’s cricket journey over thirty odd seasons as player has taken him from the lower grades of regional club cricket through four Premier Cricket competitions, First-class cricket for three States and the iconic World Series Cricket finals in the nineties. At the end of his ten-year First-class career Greg delved back into to Premier Cricket while he developed his legal practice.In the shadows of this playing journey, Greg involved himself in the fundamentals of Premier Cricket. Starting with cricket committees back in the 80’s, he has diversified into coaching, grounds preparation and facilities development as part of the more complex infrastructure delivery and cricket administration demanded of the modern Premier Cricket Club President.
