Second Magellan Ashes Test - Day 5 Entry by Gold Coin Donation

December 05, 2017

Cricket Australia is pleased to announce that entry to Day 5 of the second Magellan Ashes Test match between Australia and England will be by gold coin donation to Lord’s Taverners Australia’s and Cricket Australia’s newly formed Sporting Chance Fund.

The Lord’s Taverners is a voluntary organisation and the lead community partner of Cricket Australia. They share Cricket Australia’s vision of cricket being a sport for all.

As a thank you to all supporters who attended the second Test, and achieved a new all-time Test attendance record at Adelaide Oval, fans will get a special opportunity to see the climax of this match whilst also supporting grass roots cricket.

Through the Sporting Chance Fund, Lord’s Taverners Australia and Cricket Australia hope to inject more than $2 million by 2020 into programs which will assist grassroots cricket throughout Australia.

These programs provide opportunities for people with disability to play cricket in modified formats. This encourages social inclusion, a sense of belonging by being part of a team and the pure enjoyment of play.

All gates at Adelaide Oval will open at 12:00pm on the 6 December, with play to commence at 2:00pm.
