In response to fan research undertaken during the 2016-17 season, Cricket Australia’s new at-match Cricket Hosts pilot will be launched at selected Magellan Ashes Test matches around the country this summer.

Wearing bright green Cricket Australia branded shirts and caps, the Cricket Hosts will be located at all major thoroughfares outside venues.

Each Cricket Host will be armed with all the information you need ahead of your day at the cricket, including conditions of entry requirements, the best gate for your ticket and food and beverage options within the venue.

For the first Test, the Cricket Hosts will be located at all major thoroughfares around The Gabba precinct, and as local Brisbane residents, they are also a wealth of knowledge for fans who may not be familiar with the city.

Mainly recruited from local universities, all Cricket Hosts have received customer service training with the aim being to improve the match-day experience of fans attending a day at the cricket.

Every Cricket Host will be armed with important information such as conditions of entry requirements, optimal gate for patron entry, what can be taken into the venue and food and beverage options within the venue.

With many international and interstate fans attending the cricket this summer, our local Cricket Hosts will be able to share handy local knowledge about their city, including where to eat after play concludes, what to see, or simply the best route home.

The Cricket Hosts will be ready to help our fans with information that is customised to their requirements and delivered when, and where, they need it.

Watch out for our Cricket Hosts, on duty before and after play for the first three days of each Magellan Ashes Test!
